Midnight Express is a concept store that has developed out of an architect and fashion designer’s desire to create a boutique that reflects their common interests. With its increasing locations, the store has developed into a successful chain. Even though prêt–à–porter clothing is at the brand’s focus, one can also find unique designs pertaining to their lifestyle ranging from decorative ornaments to furniture.

Designer Banu Bora has created many innovative designs for Turkey’s most competent brands and has become a household name for fashion enthusiasts with collections carrying her name. She is also the creator behind the urban and sophisticated ready to wear clothing sold at Midnight Express.

Architect Tayfun Mumcu is well known for projects that reflect his refined taste. He is the creator of Midnight Express’ visual concept and his acclaimed furniture and accessory collections are available at the store.

Besides their own collections, Bora and Mumcu include the works of other designers in Midnight Express. Through such collaborations on fashion and design, Midnight Express has created a platform for many local and foreign up and coming designers to gain recognition. Bora and Mumcu have not overlooked the city’s affluent tradition in craftsmanship and give importance to including special works of artisans in the stores as well.

Shortly after the store’s founding, Daniela Ipekel became a partner of Midnight Express and accelerated the store’s transformation into an acknowledged chain. In addition to her role managing this continuing process, Ipekel is responsible for the selection of accessories and jewelry that are sold in the store.

Midnight Express stands out from the cluster of similar store displays and trends, with its authentic and innovative style. In addition to the store’s hotspot locations in Nisantasi and Bebek, the brand has another small branch in Bebek that solely sells jewelry.
